Valentine's is just another day. For some, it's a time to say, "Hey, I want to take this day to show you how much I love you." Which is awesome, I can appreciate that. For others, it's just another day. For me, it was just another day, I just wished it was as beautiful as it was this day at Sandy Beach. My day started well enough. I woke up, stretched out a bunch in bed (which is probably one of my favorite of morning rituals), watched a little Hulu, then made my way to my Power Pump class. My instructor started the day with, "Happy Valentine's Day! If you have a Valentine, great! If you don't, you can be your own because you are here taking care of your heart today." That set me up for the rest of the day.
I went home, rested a little after a POWERPUMP of a workout. Then made my way to work, slowly but surely. Eventually, I just got exhausted. Too many personalities for the most part, but still a good visit. My day is ending with a glass of Shiraz, some ramen noodles, and a spinach salad. I would have much rather enjoyed sitting at the beach on a day like the one above.
A cool breeze. The ocean scent. No worries. No stress. No hurdles to overcome. Nothing. Just me and the world, sitting side by side, enjoying each other's silent company...
