SoHo, New York
On the day that I spent in New York, I was overwhelmed by the industrious beauty that surrounded me.
It was New York as I always imagined it and so much more. After arriving by train from Princeton, NJ, my bestie and I found ourselves in Chelsea, NY unsure of where to go. We stopped in a sketchy-looking convenience store and bought a map. Our Goal: SoHo to find the Alaska House. It was a long walk...
We found this along the way. "Rambo" immediately caught my eye, as it's one of the nicknames of our dear friend Clyde :) Then, "Save the Polar Bears" jumped at me. WHAT. It was fantastic. Being from AK and all, where the Polar Bears are so important to our environment, people, and culture, it just took us by surprise. A wonderful surprise :)
This photo encompasses a lot of the feelings, and sights that we saw on our day in New York City, in October of 2009. More to come later :)
