11: Inaugural Dance

If I were ever elected President, this is how my Inaugural Dance will go down...no doubt.

WEIO 2009 was one to remember.  The numbers were down, but spirits were high.  My dance group, unchallenged, took home the first place trophy for the Indian Dance Competition.  While we didn't have competition, we worked hard, and the reward was sweet.

Alanna Gibson of Minto, Alaska owned the Miss WEIO competition.  She is both smart and beautiful.  Shortly after she was crowned, an Iñupiat dance group from Wainwright danced motion dance, after motion dance.  As usual, they ended their performance with a common dance, everybody dances.  Alanna danced her first dance as Miss WEIO.  

The excitement was everywhere, evident in the smiles and motions of everyone on the dance floor.
